Vacation in Yosemite Eats

The following meals were consumed while in Yosemite:

Day 1:

  • Grilled shrimp (which had been marinated for 24 hours), grilled zucchini, grilled red bell peppers and grilled onions on a salad of romaine, avocado, cilantro, cucumber and green onions. 
  • Organic cheese cracker sandwiches
  • Dark chocolate

Day 2:

  • 2 fried eggs w/ sourdough toast (pre-hike fuel)
  • Raw almonds
  • Clementine
  • Turkey, pastrami & ham (all nitrate free of course!) sandwich on sourdough with pepper-jack cheese (hike fuel!)
  • Pink Lady apple
  • Grilled Tri-tip (dried and marinated for 4 days) with a huge salad and caramelized garlic mashed potatoes
  • Watermelon

Day 3

  • Egg scramble with tomatoes, cilantro and onions and with a side of applewood bacon 
  • Chicken skewer, corn chips and fresh salsa
  • Grilled pork tenderloin (which had been brined for 24 hours and then dry rubbed for an hour before grilling), baked beans with applewood bacon
  • Fruit salad

Day 4

  • Egg scramble with mushrooms, onions, cilantro, tomatoes, red bell pepper, avocado and bacon
  • Fruit salad

Virtually everything was organic, grass fed, hormone-free, etc. Best of the best, my friends! We didn’t go out to eat even once - everything was homemade. 

All in all… we ate like kings!
