In other food news

Last night I made cream of broccoli soup from scratch. It was scrumptious and seriously easy to do! I tried to take a picture on my phone to share with you guys but my SIM card on my phone failed! Nooooo. I’m seriously sad about it. I lost all my pictures it was storing. :(

Anyway, I took a picture with my camera and I’ll upload the picture and recipe tonight.

This morning I had oatmeal for breakfast, brought raw veggies for snack numero uno, have leftover porkroast for lunch, a minneola for snack numero dos and dinner will be tomato soup and leftover jerk chicken legs.

Tomorrow morning I’m hitting up a Griffith Park hike with my girl J.

All in all a great plan. :)

Happy Friday!!

M

Raise Your Awareness

theangrytherapist:

It’s not just about what’s happening around you, it’s about what’s happening inside you. Yes, you can be greatly aware of events and situations but if you are not aware of how they are effecting you, you are not aware.  You are observant.

Persian cucumbers
Celery
Bell peppers
Tomatoes
Avocado
Hardboiled eggs
String cheese
Pear (i have one for later)
Banana
Apple

Just a few ideas for ya. ;)

Whoa there carbs

Time for a massive break from carbs.

As of tonight:
No bread
No rice
No potato
No pasta
No sweets
No exceptions until Halloween weekend.

My tummy is expanding faster than I’d like to admit and even though the scale isn’t tattle-taleing yet, I need to reign it in RIGHT FRIGGING NOW.

While I preach moderation as a lifestyle, nothing gets the pounds burning off lightning quick like a D-I-E -T. Yup, folks, it’s time for the ole “self control” to come back.

M

Planned workout:

Today after work I’ll be doing some at home weight training, abs, and a couple rounds of jump rope. My hips are a little tight from Sunday’s hike but it feels good to be sore.

This morning was supposed to be a run morning but Chippy’s knee has been bothering him and, truth be told, I’m too much of a scaredy-cat to go by myself in the dark morning hours. My neighboorhood isn’t that safe, yaknowwhaddImean?

Aaanyhow, that’s the plan!

M

PS More hiking pictures to come!

6.5 miles

Of awesome. That’s what yesterday was! A stunning hike through the clouds and with beautiful stones teetering on the edge of a huge precipice.

Can’t wait to share pictures with you tonight!

Have a beautiful Monday!

Up early for a hike!

Heading out with Chippy and E for a hike out in the Malibu mountains today. 6-7 miles. SO STOKED. It is an overcast morning but who knows what the day will bring? This is California, after all! :)

I’ll post some pictures from the trail if I have service.

Have an amazing Sunday everyone!

M
